Okay, I’ve gone way beyond my teenage crush and straight into obsession with this new CD, FutureSex/LoveSounds. Yeah, I’ve heard all the songs now, compliments the internets. Will this stop me from buying the CD. Oh, hell no. I’ve got it in my Amazon shopping cart right now.
My favorite track, by far, is still …What Goes Around…Comes Around (Interlude). I’m a sucker for orchestral elements in popular music, so the strings hooked me first. Secondly, JT’s voice shows some exquisite restraint–and exquisite pain–in this tune. I’m literally shivering in anticipation of cathartic release once the interlude comes around. Rumor has it the song is about his relationship with Britney. Girl, if that’s true, you better get out the body armour to deal with the karmic payback comin’ to you. Poor, tortured JT. He can cry a river on my shoulder anyday.
Lemme go put this on repeat.
Somehow I’m ashamed to admit I’ve really been digging the Justin Timberlake FutureSex/Love Sounds album leaks that have been floating around the internets. In particular, What Goes Around…Comes Around. Go to Hype Machine and search Timberlake. Quick. Before it’s gone. I promise it’s worth your time.
