G!T @ Glastonbury

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

I, for one, am looking forward to the new CD from The Go! Team, Proof of Youth. Collaborating with Chuck D and Washington DC’s Frederick Douglas All Star Cheer Team should produce some fresh new sounds from the genre-defying dance/pop/cheer/chant/electronic band. Grip Like a Vice is out there and available now. Here’s the video:

Thanks to their recently posted MySpace bulletin, here are links to the video of their performance at Glastonbury:

Somebody’s Watching Me

Monday, June 25th, 2007

No, it’s not just a song by Rockwell ( referenced by Dodge on MOKB the other week), but the very real possibility that YOU will end up on YouTube one day making a fool of yourself for all the world to see. A local boy who recently graduated from the Air Force Academy found himself a celebrity when his friend videotaped him dancing to C+C Music Factory’s “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)”. Now he’s The Dancing Cadet. And there’s Numa Numa Gary. And the Star Wars kid.

Although not a voyeuristic video, enjoy an old, but little known personal favorite, B Benny and Steve Flo and the jocks at St. Francis High School (video below).

Oh man…my daughter better not post the cameraphone video of me doing the jump-kick from the Berries and Cream commercial. I will so kill her. And probably become famous, too.

Post inspired by the Radar magazine article, “Prisoners of YouTube” via erelevant.

About 'The Book'
