FOs–who cares? What’s on the needles? Also not important. What is important is this: there’s a new yarn store in town. Well, Canonsburg to be specific.

It’s called the Knit Shoppe, and it’s located at 61 W. Pike Street, in Canonsburg, and they are celebrating their grand opening this weekend! They have designer yarns in yummy colorways, lots of needles and notions, books, gifts, bags and more! They are also offering some classes in knitting and crocheting. I never realized how deprived I was by only having WalMart and Michaels as quasi-yarn stores until I got to touch and feel the quality of designer yarns. I had an inkling they were worth their cost, and ventured out to the net to pick up some mohair, wool and ribbon yarn, but nothing can describe the decadence of cashmere and hanks of handpainted wool and alpaca offering themselves to me. Wow. What can I say? I’m hooked. Leeny (sp?), get ready to see a lot of me in your store. Have a look at what I bought:

Nice, eh?
